Curtiss P-40
The
Curtiss P-40 was made famous in the early stages of World War II by General Chenault and the Flying Tigers.  the P-40 has a liquid cooled engine with a top speed of 378 miles per hour and a range of 1 400 miles.  It was armed with six 50 caliber machine guns.  The P-40 was the first mass-produced U.S. single-seat fightre.  More than 14,000 were built.
